A new store

March 14, 2011

I’m still working out the kinks over at Blogger and getting ready to go live, but I wanted to write one final post here sharing my newest store on Etsy.

It’s very different from my other store that I share with Laura, in that it is solely watercolors and prints of my most favorite photos.

Watercolors have long been a passion of mine and I am finally getting upthe nerve to share some of them.  I will be taking custom orders if you have any desire.

So, stop by if you get a chance, I’d love some feedback.

Lots of love and I will see you in my new space this Thursday for the continuation of the Sewing Bee!

This moment…

The new space is ready for me.

Fresh and clean and blank.

I will be returning to writing next week sometime in my new space.

Follow me if you like!

Adios WordPress.

It’s been real.

(now commences my last This Moment here.)

(The one with the photo that looks WAY better PRE-upload onto blog)

A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. ~Soule Mama

Taking time and it feels amazing.

Surprisingly spent….not sewing, not knitting, but putting it to paper.

Inspired as always, but my own spin.

Of course.

A heads up….

March 7, 2011

I am just stopping in to let you all know that I am feeling on the up and up.

I returned home yesterday to a happy little boy, a husband who was making dinner, a house cleaned top to bottom by said husband and a nook of my bed just calling to me to relax and sit while I was able to get my finances in order.

Booo YA!

Oh!!! AND we just got 2 FEET!!!! of snow last night and I am looking forward to using my new skis tomorrow morning when I am off from work.

Nothing better than fresh mountain air to clear the head.

Still clearing up my chaos, but it’s going better than I had thought that it would.  Sometimes all we need is a bit of time.

Also, I plan on making the return back to Blogger in the near future.  I have researched the issues that I am having with my pictures posting and there is no resolving it without making them smaller.

No thanks.

So, just a heads up to that and a thank you to you all ahead of time if you decide to follow me yet again.  I don’t know what it wil be called, but it will not be back to Adirondack Mama, that I do know.

Be well and lots of love.

Balancing act…

March 5, 2011

Life has gotten a bit ahead of me and I am feeling it’s effects.

It’s not the first time.  No, I get this way every now and then.

It’s nothing that I can put my finger on, just a little of this and a little of that.

~Less than stellar sleep.

~Dreary, wet, rainy weather, right when I was gifted with some new Back country skis.

~Not finding enough time to sew, knit, or read.

~And to top it off, I am a bit let down by WordPress, it’s just not doing my pictures justice.  Case in point, the shot above.

The straw, as they say.

And since this is a space where happiness comes…I will be gone for a bit.

I will return in a while.  When my head is clearer and my emotions are a bit more in check.  When I get a bit more balanced that is.

Lots of love.

This Moment…

A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. ~Soule Mama

I opened my sewing room closet and found these with the sweetest note and a ribbon attached.
A thank you from my Honey for the past year.
They are for backcountry skiing…
Which is basically cross-country for down hill skiers (c’est moi).
I tried them out in our yard…climbing the mounds of snow and shooshing in the field behind the house.
I fell on my ass more times than I want to admit.

But LORD was it fun.

PS.  If you are looking for the mobile pattern and tutorial, I hope to have it up on Monday.  I’m trying to make the pattern into a PDF and I am being less than successful at it.

Have a great weekend at any rate.
